Who We Are
Wagyu International is a Kyoto-based wagyu trading company with over 40 years of industry roots. Unlike a typical butcher or retailer, we operate as a trade and export partner — holding direct relationships with multiple certified slaughterhouses and beef processors across Japan.
This network allows us to fulfil large-volume orders for specific primal cuts — ribeye, tenderloin, striploin and more — at wholesale scale. Whether you need a single container of one cut or a diversified mix, we source to your specification.
We also hold two proprietary national brands, and offer a co-branding partnership program for importers and distributors who want to own an exclusive wagyu identity in their market.

Why Wagyu International
01
Partnerships with multiple certified slaughterhouses and beef processors across Japan — enabling large single-cut orders at wholesale volume that a single butcher simply cannot fulfil.
02
All products are processed at government-approved export facilities, with full documentation: health certificates, JMGA grading certificates, and certificates of origin.
03
Need a full container of ribeye or tenderloin? Our slaughterhouse network lets us source specific primal cuts at scale — not limited to one carcass at a time.
04
We hold two proprietary wagyu brands — 極王牛 and 織姫牛 — available exclusively through our partner network. Differentiate your offer with brands your competitors can't access.
05
Serving 7 countries including the US, France, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the Maldives. Vacuum-sealed, flash-frozen, air-freighted with full cold-chain management.
06
We work with importers and distributors to create exclusive wagyu brands — a three-way partnership between Wagyu International, your company, and contracted farms. Escape price competition with a brand you own.
Proprietary Brands
Two exclusive wagyu brands developed and owned by Wagyu International — available only through our trade partner network.
Premium Tier
GOKUOU-GYU
The pinnacle of Japanese wagyu. Only carcasses achieving BMS 12 — the highest marbling score possible — carry the 極王牛 designation. Suited for ultra-premium restaurant programs and luxury retail.
Standard Tier
ORIHIME-GYU
Consistent A5 quality from Kagoshima — Japan's largest wagyu-producing prefecture. Flexible marbling specification makes 織姫牛 the ideal brand for volume-driven restaurant groups and distributors seeking reliable A5 supply.
Brand Partnership
Price competition is the biggest threat in the wagyu import market. The solution is exclusivity — a brand your customers can only source through you.
Wagyu International offers a three-way co-branding partnership: your company, a contracted Japanese farm, and our network. Together, we establish a named wagyu brand — yours to market exclusively in your territory.
We have successfully delivered this model with existing partners. The result: stronger margins, loyal restaurant accounts, and a product your competitors cannot replicate.
01
Breed, region, grade, marbling range — we work with you to define the exact profile your market demands.
02
We introduce and contract a suitable Japanese farm on your behalf, securing a dedicated and traceable supply.
03
We handle brand registration and certification in Japan. The brand identity belongs to your business.
04
Your brand ships only to you. No competing distributors, no price erosion — a unique product in your market.

Our multi-slaughterhouse network enables large-volume orders for specific primal cuts — not limited by a single carcass. Tell us your specification.

FAQ
Our minimum order is approximately 40kg (one carcass equivalent). This can include a mix of cuts based on your preferences. We recommend starting with a trial order to evaluate quality before committing to regular shipments.
Yes. Through our partnerships with multiple slaughterhouses and beef processors across Japan, we can fulfil large-volume orders for specific cuts — ribeye, tenderloin, striploin, and others. A single-source butcher cannot do this; our network can. Please contact us with your volume requirements.
We currently export to the United States, France, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the Maldives. All shipments originate from government-certified export facilities with the required health certificates for each destination. Please note that we are unable to export to halal-required countries or most European countries at this time.
All products are vacuum-sealed and flash-frozen immediately after processing, then shipped with continuous cold-chain management. Typical delivery time is 2–4 weeks depending on destination country.
We supply A5 and A4 grade Japanese wagyu, as certified by the Japanese Meat Grading Association (JMGA). Approximately 80% of our supply is A5 grade. Each shipment includes official grading certificates with individual carcass identification numbers.
We offer a three-way co-branding model: your company, a contracted Japanese farm, and Wagyu International establish an exclusive named wagyu brand for your market. You own the brand in your territory — no competing distributors. This program is suited for importers and distributors seeking to escape commodity-level price competition.
First orders require advance payment via bank transfer. From the second or third order onward, we offer deferred payment terms for established partners. Details are discussed during your consultation.
Pricing varies by cut, grade, marbling level, and fat thickness. Submit an inquiry through our form and we'll provide a detailed quote within 24 hours based on your specific requirements.
Pricing
Because shipping costs, import duties, and cut availability vary significantly by destination, we provide tailored quotes rather than a standard price list. Here's what that means for you.
✦
No importers. No distributors. By purchasing directly from certified Japanese farms and processors, we eliminate layers of markup — passing the savings directly to our wholesale partners.
✦
Send us your requirements — cut, volume, and destination country — and we'll respond within 24 hours with a fully itemized quote covering product, shipping, and export documentation. No commitment required.
✦
Not ready for a large commitment? Our minimum order starts at just 40kg — roughly one carcass equivalent. We encourage trial orders so you can evaluate quality before scaling up.
